NJ again

22 Sept 2010
On my way to NJ, I am sitting at the airport. Ugh I am not looking forward to going. I told my dad I would help him clean out grand mom’s house. So much has happened since my last post. Michele will be there for the weekend and my mom is in NJ at the campsite. I am just praying that Michele and Billy get along. I am going to bite my tongue until I get home….hopefully. I guess Billy and dad started to clean out the house so it should not be so bad.

Yesterday was our third wedding anniversary, we went to red lobster. I am allergic to shell fish so I had a steak. It was sure fun to watch Dan eat crab legs. He so enjoyed them.

The guy never came back to finish the counter tops. Dan kept calling him and the guy would say he was coming and he never would. Dan finally got his mother to call the guys mother in law (they were friends) and the wife called Dan. Apparently the guy left his wife and she was not aware that he did not finish the job. She had some of our counter tops in her garage and Dan was going to pick them up. She also said we could have Cisco back but when Dan call her a few days later to tell her he was coming she told him that the guy who was boarding Cisco has sold him, her husband had not paid the bill. I was so sad; I thought I was going to get my horse back, I just pray he got a good home.

30 Sept 2010
Back from NJ. Where to begin? Well Michele, Mom and I cleaned grand mom’s house. Billy and Dad did not do much the house looked the same since I was there in July. We cleaned the clutter, put stuff in boxes, took down curtains and pictures, there was so much trash!

The house looked really nice when we were done. My dad said I could have the painting of the deer, grand pop Halley’s sister painted. I also found the movie projector in the back closet. My mom has the stuff now and when we go to PA for thanksgiving I am going to bring it back with me. It is so sad that we have to go through this; Aunt Sonya is just making this harder she keeps prolonging the probation of the will. She claims that my dad will not follow grand mom’s wishes yet she has not lent one finger to do anything. How long does she think food should stay in the frig? I was cleaning out grand moms dishwasher, she kept it filled with plastic ware and in the back I found two boxes of little Debbie’s.

Saturday was the opening of the time capsule. It was pretty interesting. Mom, Michele, Billy and Jessica went. Dad met us up there, we ran into Joy and Uncle Jack. The time capsule was part of a hometown celebration 50 years ago. Mom was involved in it and so was her father. Most of the stuff was ruined. There was an old movie that was made by the locals at the celebration and the Hamilton Twp Historical Society is going to transfer it to DVD. I cannot wait to see it.

On Sunday Michele left and Mom, Jessica and I met Joy and Jill for a late lunch. We had a good time; we were there for two hours!

On Monday Dad and I went back over grand moms house to pick up the rest of the trash and I remembered the little chraib statue. The day we went shopping Michele was looking for an angle to put on grand moms headstone but we could not find one. So when Dad and I went to the graveyard I put the chraib and a cross on grand mom’s headstone.

I went back to my dad’s for a while and he let me look at my grandfather’s medals from his career in the Navy, he let me have the WWll medal. I took pictures of the rest.

It feels so good to be home, back to my life. I told my mom that I will never go back to help with grand moms house, I say that but I don’t know, I still feel obligated to my grandmother even in her death.
