Mom and Buddy have been in town. They are staying at the fish camp in their RV. Last weekend we (Mom,Missie,Val) went to Marjie Rolings state park. She was the author of The Yearling. We got to walk through her house. We had a good time. There were a pair of curtians hanging that look just like Grandmoms red ones, the ones that got ruined in the wash, I swear those curtains are going to haunt me!

On My Way Home

On my way home from N.J. The plane was late then I was late for the shuttle bus. I made it there about five min late! I thought I missed it, but they were late. I am typing this on the bus...thanks to wireless internet.

I am glad to be going home I am really worried about Gmom. I hope to go to NJ again in a few weeks. I will be making more trips home to visit with her.

I am so tired from lack of sleep, I was sleeping on Gmom's couch and Michele was sleeping in the back bedroom. I wanted to hear her in case she woke up during the night. The funniest thing happened...well it is not so funny. Michele and I cleaned up the back bedroom and Michele decided the curtain's needed to be washed and they fell apart in the washer! We did not have time to run to the store to buy new ones so I told Dad and Billy they had to do it before Gmom noticed they were gone. I told them that the mice chewed them and they were dry rotted...the dry rotted part was true. I just hope they get them as soon as possible.

Snowed In, Mays Landing, N.J

Flew in to Mays Landing last Friday to visit my Grandmother. She had a bad fall last Wed and then fell again twice before I arrived on Friday. My Grandmother is 94 and lives by herself. My Sister came from NY so between the two of us we have been busy taking care of Grand mom. I was suppose to leave Monday but  I was snowed in.  My flight was changed to tomorrow but it might be cancelled it is snowing again! I moved from Mays Landing  to Ocala, Florida sixteen years ago, so you know I am freezing! I have never seen so much snow. My sister and I tried to make a snowman but the snow would not stick.

I am worried about my Grandmother, she cannot live by herself anymore. We are making arrangements for someone to come stay with her. I have to go back home for awhile to make arrangements so I can come back as soon as I can. My father is retired now and lives close to grand mom but she still needs live in assistance. Today were are getting her the “help I’ve fallen alarm” that still is no comfort to my sister and I.

The other night we looked at some old photos, she had an old suitcase full! In there was an old grade school photo journal of my grandfather! This was the first time I seen photos of him so young.

It is snowing and snowing….it sure is pretty

New Jersey

I am leaving for New Jersey today. My Dad say's there is 6 in of snow on the ground and more to come on Saturday! I will be back home on Monday night. I am excited to see Grandmom.
